Ways to Beat the Heat While in WDW

We are going during the hottest time in Florida, and so I have been doing a lot of thinking on as many ways to beat the heat as I can think of.  So here is my list.

1. If you are staying on site, go back to your resort for a swim break in one of the awesome pools.    
2. In the parks, there are rides that get you wet such as Splash Mountain, and splash pads such as  Casey Jr. Splash 'n Soak Station in the Magic Kingdom.  You could bring a towel to dry off if you want, but we didn't need it.                                                                           
3. There are many indoor rides and shows that provide air conditioned comfort to relax, rest, and stay cool.  So take advantage of these opportunities.                                                                 
4. Bring refillable water bottles (ones with filters such as Brita are best), and refill them with iced water for free at any quick service dining spot.  Hydration is key to beating the heat.             
5.  Pop into one of the plentiful unique souvenir, gift and specialty shops that are adjacent to most attractions,  and are air conditioned.                                 
6. Restaurants in the parks are all air conditioned too.  And everyone has to eat at some point.                            
7. Treat yourself and your family to a Dole Whip, Mickey Ice cream bar or other cold snackable.    
8.   When the occasional rain shower hits, rather then heading for cover, embrace it to cool down, with or without a poncho.                               
9. You could purchase a misting fan, (or occasionally test one out...lol) while wandering the parks.                                                                          
10. Do as many rides that you can at sunset or after dark when it begins to cool down.
